Visual explanation · Passing a parked van

The front cleared. The rear did not

Question recap: Your rear remains beside a van as you prepare to return right.

Correct answer

Keep clearance until the whole car can return safely.

Why this is correct

The back of the car still occupies space beside the obstacle. Steering right now can bring the rear corner too close even if the bonnet is clear.

Continue only as the road ahead safely allows. Once the vehicle has enough clearance, check the right side and return in a smooth line.
