Visual explanation · Left turn

A safe opportunity still needs a decision

Question recap: Another gap opens after you hesitate during a left turn.

Correct answer

Take this gap once you confirm it is safe.

Why this is correct

Similar-looking gaps are not identical: speed, distance and your turning time still matter. Confirm that you can complete the turn without hindering the oncoming stream.

When the current gap is genuinely usable, make a clear decision. Waiting for an entirely empty road is not automatically better judgement.
