Bring these on exam day
- Accepted, valid ID. Check the identification requirements in your own CBR invitation.
- Exam confirmation. Ask your driving school for it and check the date, centre and test type.
- Completed, printed Zelfreflectie form. Fill it in before the appointment and hand it to the examiner at the beginning.
- Glasses or contact lenses, if needed for driving. Use any required vision correction.
The invitation is the final checklist for your appointment; some arrangements or personal circumstances may require additional documentation.
Before your school can book
You complete the Gezondheidsverklaring yourself through Mijn CBR with DigiD. Your declaration is needed for the school’s reservation process, and any required driving-fitness assessment must be resolved before you can take the exam. If CBR needs extra information, the process can take longer.
So this is one of the few things worth doing early. “I’ll sort it when I’m exam-ready” can turn into a very avoidable delay.
The booking is not yours to make
You authorise your registered driving school through Mijn CBR. Your driving school books the practical exam after the required CBR steps are complete and the school has the authorisation it needs. Available dates depend on the exam location and what the school can reserve.
If you need an interpreter or a faalangstexamen, arrange that before the booking is final. These are not car-park decisions.
CBR’s current “what to bring” FAQ explicitly asks for valid ID, the exam confirmation and a completed, printed Zelfreflectie form. If your personal invitation says something different, clarify it with CBR and your school before exam day.
What to check the evening before
Confirm the CBR centre and meeting time; check that your ID is not expired; complete the required self-reflection; and agree with your instructor where you will meet and which car you will use. That removes avoidable administrative surprises without turning the night before into another driving lesson.

What does CBR already verify digitally?
CBR checks the validity of your theory result and required driving fitness. Those prerequisites are not a request to bring a paper theory certificate or a health dossier. The self-reflection is different: print and bring the completed form as the CBR FAQ instructs.
